Sprout Prize and Food Review.

So last week I received an email to let me know that we had won a giveaway from Sprout Food SA!

Sprout is a local company that was started by a fellow mama Liesel and is a company that provides freshly made free range, preservative and hormone free toddler/ finger foods available online to order strait to your door.

In short after having her son she realized how many nasties go into the finger/ toddler foods that retail stores provide for children and through this she decided to work with a local nutritionist to create healthy, nutritious and well balanced meals that provide all the nutrients, colours and textures that growing toddlers thrive off of and need.

Enchantrix- I clean it all- Product Review

Previously I have posted about the transition that has taken place in my household coverting from chemical/ non cruelty free houshold and body products to organic/ natural cruelty free products, and I am very happy to say that we have pretty much switched over everything in the household I think my hubby is the only one left who uses normal shampoo and body wash but we are getting there.

In any case I am always on the search for new organic/ cruelty free products to try and it was 2 months ago when I found the Enchantrix I clean everything concentrated liqued.... oh my stars where has this product been all my adult life, I am completely head over heels sold for this product.

I have been asked by a few people I know to create a go to list of the eco/ cruelty free brands that we have used or use in our home and where you can get them…. So here it goes.

Crunchy Mama

So what is a crunchy mama, lately I have been watching a YOUtube channel called Mama Natural which is a really awesome channel that I recommend as a valuable information source for all moms, she is also really funny and well natural... she is what is termed a crunchy mom.

So I have mentioned before in a previous post that cancer runs in my family, this has become a worry for me especially as I now have children of my own and I have seen a number of family members pass away from various forms and types of cancer, it is not pretty for the person or their family and I would for obvious reasons prefer not to ever have my family go through that.

Cloth diapering- why I chose this journey as well as some useful tips and info....

When I fell pregnant with Loghan, I was hell bent on using cloth nappies because well I was a teen mom with very little money and thought how awesome would it be not having to pay for disposables- if my mom did it so can I.

I bought the nappy bucket, the solutions and of course dozens of terry flats and waterproofs ready for use….and that never happened.
I ended up getting so many packs of disposables at my baby shower and then with Loghan born prem I just went with it and eventually the terry flats just became throw up lappies and everything else was given away.

The Cove

Last night I watched the heartbreaking documentary called The Cove.

Heartbreaking does not even begin to describe the slaughter and torture that thousands of dolphins endure every year in Taiji Japan.

A cause worth fighting for

There are three causes that always touch my heart immensely the one is anything to do with children or the elderly and the other animal welfare, specifically because these are the 3 groups in our world that need the most love care and attention as well as they cannot for the most part care for themselves.
I think that anyone that causes physical mental or emotional harm to any of these three should be made to walk off a cliff with a spike floor awaiting them at the bottom, how sick can one be to take advantage of something or someone that cannot fight back or fend for itself, abuse of children, the elderly and animals is at its highest and it is sick sick sick!!!!!!
