What I like about my life right now #ZombiePrompts

I looked at the post for this week and was like you have got to be kidding me, our life is a literal shit storm right now but ok i shall play this game oh the irony ha ha...

Ok pity party over lets get serious, despite what has happened I am still incredibly blessed, my kids are all healthy, we have a roof over our heads and always mange to put food on the table, we have an incredible support system by way of family, work family and our very small but precious circle of friend but barring all those amazing blessings what I like most about my life right now is how my feelings and views on motherhood have changed and matured...

This is going to sound odd but even though I always wanted to be a mom more than anything, when I became a mom I knew I was a mom but always still felt like I was standing outside my body as a mother, I love and always have loved my kids and tried to give them all the love and care I possibly can but I think the past year or so has just... I don't know I just feel more at home with the term mom than I ever have and my love and admiration for my kids and the awe and understanding that has developed between us as a complete family... am I making any sense at all, maybe not, in my head it all sounds right.

I suppose that despite us going through a difficult time financially and emotionally as a family we are at our happiest and I love that.

This post theme is a great way to show you what you truly have in your life and I am really happy that in the end I decided to sit down and doing, short and sweet life is amazing despite its challenges.

Best movies and TV shows for binge-watching on a rainy weekend. #ZombiePrompts

I cannot remember when last I had the chance to binge watch anything on a weekend other than kiddy shows but I do have a list of what shows and such I would like to binge watch should I have the chance whahaha… any hoo here it goes.

Movies:

The Harry Potter Saga

I absolutely adore each and every one of these movies and they have taken me through so much of my child hood it’s difficult not get nostalgic whilst watching them, I love watching the characters grow as actors as well as in general over the years and I just love the books so much as well so it gets a big thumbs up from my side, it’s also nice to watch with the kids age dependant of course, mine have seen up until the 3rd movie so far.

Classic Horror movies.

I LOVE horror movies more so the old classics as I just feel they don’t make really good horrors anymore and that modern horror films just don’t come with that old suspense and gore the new ones do. I highly recommend:

The Nightmare on Elm Street saga
The Chucky movies
The Exorcist
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Halloween
The Haunting
Poltegeist
The Shinning
Silence of the Lambs
IT
Sleepy Hollow
Evil Dead and so many more…

Series

Ah where do I start there are so many, in no particular order here are a few…

The Big Bang Theory
The Tudors
Downton Abbey
American Horror Story
2 Broke Girls
The Strain
IZombie
CSI
Hannibal
Breaking Bad
Bones

I could go on and on but those are some of my favorites, what would you suggest for a good binge watching session?

#ZombiePromptsWhat do you lie about?

I developed a nasty habit as an overweight child and then teen prone to depression and Body Dismorphic Disorder and that was not only lying about my feelings in general but also how I feel about my body and appearance, I have gotten better about it much.. much better… but I still have my days, days when I say I am ok when I am actually not and days when I look in the mirror and want to die because I feel fat and ugly but thankfully these days they are few and far between and I am learning to rather be open and truthful about it.

# ZombiePrompts; What do you consider to be your biggest achievement?

This going to be a bit cliché but quite honestly my biggest achievement in my eyes has always been motherhood, and why is because I have ALWAYS since early childhood dreamed of being a mom and even though there are complete moments of madness it honestly has been the most rewarding journey I have ever walked through and I think ever will.

The challenges my kids have had to go through have shown me just how incredible motherhood is and how privileged I am to have them.

I had teen motherhood against me, a failed marriage and I still made it through with well at least a bit of sanity and 3 amazing healthy well-adjusted albeit a bit crazy kids who had so much going against them in the terms of their disorders and the lack of information and people willing to help them.

Would I have liked a successful career, more money, more free time… perhaps but I don’t think it ever would have given me a tenth of the purpose and fulfillment that my kids have.
