Valentines weekend

 

Good Evening to everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful day and that whether you celebrate Valentines day or not you had a wonderful weekend filled with love and blessings.

 

I have to say we are not ones to go out of our way to celebrate Valentines Day but we do acknowledge it and if we can will try and do something nice together as a family.

 

This year the boys were all a twitter with excitment and proudly announced that they had Valentines and asked me if I could help them put something together, they each made a card to go with a chocolate and heart on a stick, they were ever so proud and excited, the school also had a bake sale and each grade was asked to provide something; Gabriels year was juice or sweeties and Loghans was baked goods so I was up Thursday baking mint choclate cupcakes with white cholate pieces and white chocolate drizzled over the top, they tasted rather good if I do say so myself.

Any hoo so Friday Loghan rushed to the shuttle to give his friend her valentine and I followed closely after eager to see the girl who held his affection, he handed it over and she was just like ok thank you.... my heart I tell you, the voice in head was screaming at her argh, so I went on inside feeling a bit sad for him but when they came home I found out there was no need as he proudly displayed the card she had made for him and announced how she had given him a kiss on the cheek which was too sweet, both monkeys also came home with a few other cards and odds and ends including friendship ribbons which the school had sold to raise funds, each in different colours associated with a different message of friendship and love, it was a brilliant idea and ever so sweet.

 

Jesse also came home for a few things he made which was too cute for words.

Saturday we just chilled at home, Loghan had a project/ oral to prepare and Jesse ended up pushing my favorite mug off the counter, say what you want but the perfect size and type of cup is hard to find lol, but anyway whilst cleaning up I managed to slice my finger right on the knuckle eish worst place ever.

 

 

This morning I got to sleep in and was awakened by all my boys with heart shaped toast and eggs, a card and an amazing cup of coffee, the boys were very happy as I had left a plate of chocolates out for them last night, its not everyday you they get chocolate for breakfast lol I think its an annual tradition we are going to strick with yum.

 

The rest of our day was spent playing games and listening to good music, spending time together as a family, it was truly the most amazing valentines day ever.
